“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever.” –Walt Disney
This afternoon, we were playing in the backyard. Well, the tiny humans were playing and I was on my phone. I looked up when I heard Eli yell, “Come on Iron Girl! Let’s get those bad guys!” Emmy was running around in a princess dress and her Personalized Super Hero Cape from Pip & Bean. Eli had his Iron Man mask on and had hung his cape on our rock wall for the moment.
They were running around our big tree, happy as can be. While Eli was clearly running the show, telling Emmy what to say and who they were imagining they were, he still lets Emmy be herself. She can be the princess, in her Anna dress, and still be a superhero. She can take breaks to sing a little bit or pick up her baby doll because it’s crying. Eli, of course, makes sure she knows that the baby’s name is Iron Baby.
Ever since Alyssa, from Pip and Bean, sent these Personalized Superhero Capes over, the tiny humans have had them on non stop. We had a Super Emaline returning bottles at Costco. Eli wore his cape to walk through our neighborhood and look for garage sales. Emaline was a super princess climbing our rock wall and kicking some invisible bad guy butt in our backyard. A Super Elijah, who was also a fireman, held hands with his superhero baby sister while we walked around downtown Rochester. My tiny superheroes even wore their capes to enjoy some donuts.
They were so cute, holding hands and strolling (sometimes running) down the side walk. A few people made comments about how they were superheroes and Eli would get this huge smile on his face. It was adorable.
Eli is such a boy how he wants to fight bad guys and be a superhero-power ranger-ninja-jedi. But I love how Emmy also wants to be a superhero and get those invisible bad guys, while she has a princess dress under her cape. She loves that her cape has her name on it, in sparkly pink letters, but it also doubles as an Elsa cape when she needs to have a “Let It Go” moment on the corner while we wait for traffic to clear.
These personalized superhero capes from Pip and Bean are amazing. They are not only beautiful, but so well made. We’ve had them for two weeks and the tiny humans have had them on almost every single day. The handmade capes are reversible and will fit them as they grow. There is even some princess capes and coordinating masks and armbands, too.
According to Elijah, the cape makes him run really fast and helps him to get every single bad guy, “And sometimes I can be a magical force mystic force blue ranger, even though the cape isn’t blue. It still works for the blue ranger.”
There is nothing I love more than hearing Eli and Emmy play together. I love eavesdropping and hearing the little scenarios they dream up and who is which super hero (or princess or power ranger) each day.
Do your tiny humans love to play pretend? Do you have a super hero lover? Or a strong little girl who loves to fight invisible bad guys while wearing her princess dresses? I highly recommend getting one of these amazing personalized capes from Pip and Bean.
These capes were gifted to me by Pip and Bean to facilitate a blog post, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own and I would never recommend something to you that I don’t love.
