Elijah’s life is rough sometimes.
Its hard to be a three-year-old. You want to do what you want to do and you don’t want to listen to your parents. You feel like you’re so big and can do all this cool stuff. But you can’t.
Life is hard when you just want to draw on your face with markers in your girlfriend’s basement, but then your dad washes it off.
It stinks when you want to watch The Avenger’s movie and your dad tells you that you are too little.
It’s rough when the neighbor kids go inside for lunch and you just want to keep playing with them. So you wait, face down on the the slide until your dad brings you in the house.
It is so hard when you tell your mom that you want to hear “the song that goes like this” and then you sing unrecognizable lyrics for 5 minutes that your mother can in no way decipher. Why doesn’t she get you?
Life really stinks when your mom tells you that you can go outside and splash in puddles, but there aren’t actually any puddles around. And you put on your rain boots and everything.
It’s so rough when you want to tackle your one-year-old sister while she climbs the stairs and you get a time out. Maybe that’s just the way you show affection.
It’s hard when you just want to wear your Iron Man suit pjs to go with the Iron Man mask you found at your friends’ house, but you don’t actually have Iron Man suit pjs.
It’s the worst when you want to eat french fries at every single meal and your mom is a jerk and makes you eat other horrible foods, like pizza or mac and cheese.
Life is rough when you want to go play with your friends, but you don’t want to wear pants or shoes and your mom won’t let you leave until you wear proper attire. Doesn’t she know that your friends don’t mind if you show up in your boxer briefs?
Seriously, being a three-year-old is the worst.
