Ever since I started using Stitch Fix last May, I have been trying to be more stylish and putting more effort into my appearance. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still have my leggings and flannel shirt days, and when we don’t have to be up and ready to go somewhere, I stay in my sweats past lunch time. But I am actually enjoying putting together my own outfits and browsing Pinterest for style inspiration.
Here are some things that I have on my style wish list for spring: (This post contains affiliate and referral links. If you shop from my blog, I may receive compensation for clicks or purchases made from my links.)
A kimono. I’ve pinned a bunch of kimonos in hopes that my personal stylist, Jennifer from Stitch Fix, sends me one in my next fix. My fingers are crossed that I’ll get one, but if not, this one from anthropologie is at the top of my wishlist. And this pretty embroidered one from Target is lovely, and more in my price range. Wouldn’t a kimono look perfect with my yellow Level 99 jeans from my March Stitch Fix?
A great midi skirt. Even before my babies, I was never super comfortable in short skirts. I’m pretty tall and it’s always been hard for me to find appropriate length skirts, so I love this midi skirt trend. How pretty is this floral Just a Dream skirt from Ruthie Grace Boutique? I’d pair it with chambray for a more casual look, or with a pretty whit blouse for church! I would love a white midi skirt, like this Madewell beaut at Nordstrom. I love white, despite being around two incredibly messy toddlers all the time. Since we still have a couple months before it will be open toed shoe weather here in the mitten, what kind of shoes should I pair with a midi?
Hunters. Now, I already have glossy black Hunter Boots. But I’m really crushing on some for spring that will add some fun and more color on a rainy, spring day. I love the coral color of the Sunset short boots. (And I found a floral pair for tiny girls that I totally want for Emaline, because I love to match.) Do you have any short rain boots? I’m curious to hear how you like them, so let me know in the comments!
A military inspired jacket. I guess I never realized how a great jacket can make an outfit so much more put together. I’m 31 and I’m still learning about being stylish! But a military inspired parka, with a hood, is definitely on my list. Because what mama is able to use an umbrella when hauling two toddlers through a parking lot? I love the gray color of this RVCA jacket from Nordstrom, too. I have a green military vest, but a jacket would be more functional for spring.
Lace up ballet flats. I’m so not a heels girl. Even before kids, I’d wear pumps to work and then switch into flats before lunch time. Or I’d just kick them off under my desk and scramble to put them on if I needed to walk away. I’ve been seeing lace up ballet flats, like this style from Target, all over. The cognac suede is versatile, but I kind of love the Rose suede color of this Steve Madden pair.
TOMs Desert Wedge Booties. If you are a fellow Stitch Fix lover, or follow them on social media, you have probably heard their big news…SHOES! Stitch Fix is now sending shoes out as a regular part of a Fix. So make sure you update your Style Profile if you are a fixer! I saw that Maria, from Crazy Together, received these TOMs booties that I have been wanting for while now. I love them in the taupe suede like she has, but I would also wear the black suede a ton.
Some mama-mini style pieces. I know, it might be super dorky and lame, but I cannot resist matching my girl. Old Navy is making me want every single matching thing this season with their bright florals and pretty patterns. This navy floral fit and flare cami dress comes in toddler sizes, too! I’m crushing on a trapeze top in the same print, too. Old Navy is having a great sale right now…which is kind of a problem for Emmy’s style budget. Do you dress matchy matchy with your kids? Or am I the only one?
I don’t even know what any of us are wearing for Easter yet, so maybe I should get on that first! Emmy has a few options, but as for the rest of the Grunewald Fam…no clue.
What are your style crushes for spring? Is there something I missed that I need to consider? Let me know in the comments!
