These past several days have been horrible for my migraines. Whenever the crazy Michigan weather decides to be so back and forth–warm one day, snowing the next, warm a few days later–my head is the worst. Eli asked me last night, “why don’t you always not feel good?” and then I felt like I’m the worst.
But this morning, when he asked if I had a headache and when the answer was no, he had the cutest reaction. He was so genuinely happy. And then he asked if we could go to Target. Because why wouldn’t he assume a Target trip is in order when I don’t have a headache?
One thing that has helped with my migraines, when they stem from sinus issues, is using essential oils. It doesn’t make my migraine go away completely, but it definitely eases up the pain, along with hot showers, caffeine, rest, and drinking so much water. When I have to be out and about, I love wearing this diffuser necklace that Lacy, the mama behind Madre Beads, sent me. (I received this necklace to facilitate an honest review and blog post. I put a drop or two of the Breathe blend from doTerra on the unfinished wood beads and it helps with my sinus congestion and the nagging cough I’ve had since Monday. And I love the look of it. I tied a simple knot in the back of the infinity style design so it was a little shorter and wore it today while Emmy and I ran to Target before preschool pick up.
The Delilah Diffuser Necklace is the perfect addition to any mom uniform and it’s super versatile.
Madre Beads are handmade by Lacy, a mama of 3, in Missouri. Lacy uses eco-freindly and non-toxic beads, that are ideal for babes to suck and chew on. Emmy is out of the teething and nursing stage, but Madre Beads are the perfect nursing and teething accessory for mamas….and a really great Mother’s Day gift idea too!
