I miss our old mailman. He knew to never ring the doorbell because of sleeping babies. He was super nice to me. He’d bring all of our mail to the door whenever I had a package. I never appreciated how awesome he was until we moved and now have a not so nice or thoughtful mailman. And the worst part…our mail comes so late.
Like my 5th Stitch Fix. It didn’t get delivered until 6:23 pm. I know, I know. It’s a serious first world problem, but really, when I only have 3 days to decide and document my fix, I need all the time I can get.
Okay, rant over. I’m so incredibly pleased with this Stitch Fix. My stylist, Jennifer, sent me what I asked for and she seemed to genuinely look at my pinterest board and send me things that I would love. And, I got colored jeans…that actually fit!
If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it’s a personal styling service for women. It’s sort of perfect for busy moms. You fill out a fun style profile and then utilize your pinterest board to show your stylist what kinds of things you’re looking for. She then hand-picks 5 items just for you and you get to try them on in your own house. You can also request items for specific occasions (like this amazing dress from my 4th fix.) There’s a $20 styling fee with each box, but that gets applied towards whatever clothes you keep. The clothes you don’t want to keep, you send pack in the prepaid packaging that comes with each fix. And if you keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount. Plus, it’s delightful.
And, on to the clothes, since I know thats why you’re here. I requested fall items: long sleeves, colored denim, plaid. Things that screamed fall and would be great for layering. And Jennifer sure delivered.
I was convinced I was only keeping one thing from this Stitch Fix. And then my friend Megan made me think I should keep more. What do you think?
Tif Contrast Sleeve Knit Top, by Loveappella. I pinned so many striped on my pinterest style board. And this top is totally something I would gravitate towards when shopping. It’s grey. It’s striped. It’s comfortable.
Let me pause to apologize for my appearance in these photos. I’ve had a several bad migraine days this past week and I rushed to take these pictures before RJ took the monkey to preschool this morning.
But, I feel like the sleeves are too short on this. It looks better pushed up a little.
Jennifer suggested I pair it with my army vest and the amazing burgundy jeans she sent. But I’m not convinced I love it. I promised myself (and my husband) that I’m only keeping items I absolutely love. So, I’m thinking this is going back.
Fierro Elbow Patch Crew Neck Sweater, by Market&Spruce. Again, this is perfect for me. Black and gray. And, the elbow patches. I think I pinned a few elbow patch items and even wrote “I love elbow patches” in the description.
It fits great and is warm. And it looks great with the jeans.
Giovanni Straight Leg Jean, by Level 99. Let’s talk about these jeans. I am in love. They are so incredibly comfortable. I don’t own any colored pants for fall. And they are exactly what I asked for. I wanted to try some colored denim and these are just perfect.
And, the best part…THEY FIT ME! They are the perfect length, so I an wear them with a variety of shoes. I have such a hard time finding jeans that fit well, I usually settle for ones that fit alright and buy them because they’re cheap. I might wear these every single day. Well, just the days I don’t have yoga pants on…
I pinned my booties, and asked for items to go with them. But I’m unsure of the best way to wear these pants with them. Should I cuff them? Do they good good the way I have them? Let me know what you think in the comments.
Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse, by 41Hawthorn. When I opened my fix and saw this blouse, my first thought was that it is a weird color green. But after I tried it on, I actually love it. I don’t have anything this color. I love that it covers my butt and I can wear it with leggings and boots.
I was unsure about this one, but my super stylish friend Meg, who could probably be a Stitch Fix stylist, told me to keep it. I’m always on the lookout for tops that make leggings look more like pants.
Sammi Plaid Infinity Scarf, by Look by M. I wish this scarf was a button up. I absolutely love the colors, and it’s plaid so it’s what I asked my stylist for. But I don’t really wear scarves for fashion. I’m pretty sure this is going back. It does look great styled with the Tab Sleeve Blouse, just like Jennifer suggested.
I’m definitely requesting her again, she has done such a great job with my past 3 fixes.
So what do you think? What should I keep? And what should I send back? I am super indecisive, so please help me out here and leave it in the comments.
