In addition to the busy-ness of RJ’s ordination weekend, more on that in yesterday’s post, we decided to just go with the chaos and keep incredibly busy. Which may have resulted in Elijah catching a stomach bug this weekend. He’s over 48 hours puke free now, so that’s promising.
Here is some of the stuff we have been up to lately in the Grunewald house, you know, in all of our spare time:
Elijah got a haircut, which I love, and then he met this weird dragon in Mt. Clemens that he was apparently obsessed with.
We played with our good friend Jonah. in matching Christmas jammies.
We visited Santa, the real Santa. Even though RJ got yelled at for taking photos with my iPhone, he was an awesome Santa and Eli couldn’t have been happier.
We celebrated RJ’s 30th birthday. Emmy decorated the cake with me and Eli bought him Legos.
Emaline had some one on one time with Elijah’s favorite mannequins at Old Navy.
Elijah had his preschool Christmas Party and made me this adorable gift. Here he is with his friends Kendal and Micah, they were all born within two months of each other.
Had an actual date night for RJ’s birthday. and tried to finish up our shopping.
Watched a lot of movies and Disney Junior when Eli was down with a stomach bug.
We finally left the house yesterday, which was so needed. Even if I still have loads of laundry and wrapping to do. But we needed fresh air and Starbucks and it was 52 degrees out. So how could we not go to the outdoor mall?
Now we just need to stay healthy and rested for our 4 days of Christmas. And I should probably put away all of this clean laundry that I’m pretending isn’t right in front of me…
