Over Memorial Day weekend, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan premiered their NEW NEXO Knights 4D movie. We were lucky enough to visit yesterday, and check it out. disclosure: I am a LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan Parent Brand Ambassador and receive tickets in exchange for promoting the attraction. But as always, any thoughts and opinions shared are my own. #LDCMichigan
Elijah is very into LEGOS. (Remember his Ninjago birthday party?) So he was psyched to be visiting the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan again and even more excited to check out the brand new, NEXO Knights 4D movie. Here is a review of the movie, from my 4 year old:
“It was so fun! And just a little bit scary. The book with a face puked out a dragon!” The dragon was a little bit scary for him, as he mentioned. He actually wanted to leave right after the dragon came on the screen and roared really loud, but then RJ talked to him about how it was make believe and he was okay for the rest of the movie.
“First, they cut the dragon’s head off and then the dragon grew three heads! That was so funny! They put some armor on and used their NEXO power to defeat the dragon. The NEXO Knights are so strong and really funny. They used a robot to be all 5 NEXO Knights and they won.” I’m glad that he picked up on how the NEXO Knights needed to all work together to win.
“I really liked it. I’m glad we didn’t get water sprayed on us, and that it wasn’t stinky like the Chima movie. The smoke and the air was just pretend. Daddy showed me.” I also appreciated that we didn’t get wet. The movie was loud and had special effects, as do all 4D movies, of air blowing, smoke, lights flashing, and I’m pretty sure there were stinky smells, we just sat in the back so Eli didn’t really smell them.
He told everyone we saw yesterday about the book puking the dragon…and he insists that was the best part.
Emmy’s favorite part: “There was a girl NEXO Knight!” She was excited because Macy, the red NEXO Knight, is a girl. There was also a techie girl who helped the NEXO Knights back at the base on the computer, Ava Prentis. Mama’s favorite part was that it was all about teamwork. The 5 NEXO Knights had to work together to defeat the bad guys, Jestro and his Book of Monsters.

The 4D cinema is still showing the other 4D movies: Chima and Spellbinder in addition to NEXO Knights. The movies rotate and play every 15 minutes or so, and are about 10 minutes long.
