“Today will be known as Freedom Friday, but still on a Tuesday!”
Elijah is obsessed with The Lego Movie. He can recite several (okay maybe a couple dozen) of the lines from the movie when he is watching it and even when he is not…and I will pretend that doesn’t mean that I have let him watch it entirely too many times in the less than a month that we have owned it. And the “Freedom Friday” line is right up there with “Where’s my paaaants?” that makes me laugh whenever he says it; so obviously he does it repeatedly. Since it is Friday, and this post is about 4th of July fashion on my monkeys, the “Freedom Friday” reference is appropriate, right? (If you want to read about our Fourth Festivities, click here.)
Elijah: hat: babyGap. Although a few people thought the “G” stood for “Grunewald” — so that works too.
tank: babyGap clearance find turned Eli’s DIY Flag Shirt.
shorts: Old Navy.
shoes: Crocs. I know that Crocs are not the most stylish footwear. But with a crazy two year old, we do often have to put function over style.
Emaline: romper: Gymboree (thrifted). I had completely forgot that I found this gem (it has a matching sun hat, too) resale in May. My kids do not lack in the clothing option department.
Saturday Zoo Attire.
tank: SandiLake Clothing. (check out their etsy shop.) SandiLake also makes a sweet #merica tee that I love.
shorts: Old Navy (thrifted). These were jeans that I turned into cutoffs.
patriotic sneakers: Converse (thrifted).
Eli: tee: Junk Food for babyGap. Elijah has a few “AMERICA!” tees. Yep, he shouts “AMERICA!” when he spots Captain America.
shorts: babyGap. These babyGap athletic shorts are my favorite and they happen to have a few colors on clearance right now. And my gap shopping cart might be full right now while I decide if I want to spend my entire month’s clothing budget on babyGap.
Emaline: romper: Old Navy Outlet.
hat: babyGap Outlet. This style hat is so adorable, I am tempted to buy another one for next year.
(RJ’s sweet swim trunks are from Walmart, in case you want to get a pair.)
