These last couple weeks have been a whirlwind of back to school prep and kind of getting into a routine. Except for Alice, poor girl is not adjusting just yet.
Eli’s first three weeks of school were rough on me. Really, the couple weeks leading up to his first day were, too. I’ve been a complete mess and worrying about every little thing. Elementary schools should totally install video cameras so that parents can check on their kindergartners several times throughout the day. And, confession, I may drive by his school whenever I’m out running errands around his lunch recess hoping to get a glimpse of him playing on the playground…that’s completely normal, right?
Emaline didn’t surprise me at all by just walking right in to the class room. She wasn’t phased at all and wants to go to her school everyday that Eli has school. So that makes mornings that she doesn’t have preschool super fun.
Anyway, I wanted to share some of their first day of school pictures here, since I only remembered to post Eli’s on Facebook…oops!
My children inherited my excitement over school supplies. I had to get Emaline all the same things that Elijah needed because she was sad she didn’t need scissors and a pencil box.
How did your tiny humans do their first few weeks of school? How did you do? Let me know in the comments!
