We are currently on day 4 of potty training house arrest, so I’m looking at pictures of all the fun things we’ve done the past couple weeks and wishing we could have an adventure today.
Here are the fun pictures of monkey’s adventures lately:
This was our first trip to the Brandenburg Park splash pad. It cost us $5 to get it, but I think it was worth it.
Elijah wasn’t a huge fan of the splash pad at first. We set up our blanket and things, and he wanted to go to the nearby playground within 10 minutes.
So we packed up and rolled on over to the playground area, which had some shade for Emaline and Mama, so it wasn’t so bad.
The park is right on Lake St. Clair and Elijah loved walking onto the pier and checking out the fisherman.
It was a very hot day, so excuse our super sweaty appearances.
Then it was back to the splash pad to cool down, look closely and you can see RJ and Eli racing under the orange rectangle.
I love going to this local festival. My favorite part is usually walking around the crafting area, but this year it was the kids tent.
They had great free activities for kids, such as painting.
And that was a huge hit with Eli. Didn’t he look way cute in this huge apron?
Elijah wasn’t tall enough to ride the ferris wheel, but he enjoyed people watching and a carnival game with Daddy.
We only spent a little over an hour there, but we are definitely going back next year.
GK Annual Golf Outing.
Elijah thought “golfing” in the Annual Golf Outing was a huge deal.
The guys posed with Elijah before heading out to the course.
He “golfed” for two holes and just ran around before and after that. The weather was perfect.
Eli always asks to go to the playground, and since it is super close—two blocks away—we go often.
Emaline uses trips to the playground as her nap time in the Ergobaby.
Or sometimes swinging with daddy.
Lions Family Day.
Elijah is obsessed with football. So when RJ found out about this Lions Family Day he knew it would be a perfect place to take Eli.
There were lots of fun activities for kids, and then they could watch the Lions practice.
Looking through the pictures that RJ took, it seems like he didn’t have a good time, since he isn’t smiling in any of them…but RJ swears he had a blast with his Grandpa and Daddy.
Fountains at the Mall.
The mall is one of my favorite places to bring the babies to kill time. I bribe Elijah with a “treat” to do a tiny bit of shopping, and then let him run around and play after.
He kept drinking his “coffee water” from Starbucks when he needed a break from running wild. Emaline enjoyed another long nap in the Ergobaby this day.
And I may have gotten into trouble at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale when we went in to get Elijah a free balloon, but we won’t discuss that.
What kinds of adventures have you been on lately?
