I admit it, most of the time I am wearing my mom uniform: leggings or destructed jeans, a loose tee–mainly mom graphic tees, hair in a top knot, barely any makeup, and sneakers. I’m fine with it, because the majority of my days are spent shuttling tiny humans to and from school and buying groceries and breastfeeding a baby while I scroll through my phone and try to remember to eat lunch. But, whenever I do put a little more effort into my style, I feel so much better throughout the day. My problem is the shopping part. The going to a store with 2-3 tiny humans and trying on all the things while keeping them from escaping under fitting room doors.
It’s stressful. Trying to find clothes that will work on your body. Squeezing your stroller and tiny humans into a fitting room. Then taking the time to try them all on. Texting your girlfriends pictures to get their opinions. Giving the threenager a snack. Trying on more clothes. Feeding the baby while still trying to decide if the top you really like is too trendy for you. It’s stressful and exhausting.
Evereve is a retail brand that was created by a mom, specifically for moms. Evereve wants to inspire mamas everywhere to embrace their beauty and power. Dressing like a mom is a good thing, and Evereve wants to break through the stereotype that moms cannot be fashionable and stylish. Evereve wants every mama to #DressLikeAMom and feel good about it! They carry so many brands that I love, too! Free People, Skies are Blue, Lucky, Lovestitch, and Allison Joy, just to name a few.
My experience at my local Evereve was amazing. Not only was the store itself welcoming and spacious, the aisles between tables and racks were large enough that I could navigate pushing a stroller one handed while sipping my latte.
Evereve’s in-store stylists were so helpful. I picked a few tops out, and Susan, my stylist, was so quick to ask what I was looking for. I went in with the intention of getting comfy, long tops to wear with leggings, but I left with 3 amazing, stylish tops and a very on-trend cami. Everything I feel so good in and will be comfortable wearing while taking care of my tiny humans.
Like I said, my in-store stylist was the best. I told her that I’m nursing and that I don’t want anything formfitting to my tummy. She brought me so many great items, tops, pants, dresses, sweaters…I had the hardest time narrowing it down to just a few items. I loved how she spent time picking out items that fit my lifestyle and body type. This striped peplum is the only thing I bought that I originally picked out.
I feel like the way the peplum is placed is so flattering, and it’s very soft. This is going to be a fall staple for me. I paired it with some black denim and faux leather slip-ons that I already owned. It will look perfect with some brown boots and jeans this fall too. Maybe a military jacket on top? So many possibilities.
I was not crazy about this Lovestitch floral blouse on the rack, but after I tried it on, I fell in love. I would never pick this out for myself, but florals are so in right now. I love how this cross front lays and doesn’t cling to my tummy, and it’s super easy to untie and nurse Alice in.
I styled it with jeggings, my riding boots, and layered a military vest over it. I think I will wear this combo so much this fall. This cage cami that I have on underneath is so stretchy I bought it in two colors and may go back for one more…AND it’s reversible, so I can do the cage in the front or the back.
This last top Susan brought me near the end, she said it was the last one in the store and it would look perfect on me. Plus, it’s button up and sort of oversized, making for easy nursing access. Short sleeves make it perfect for this hot, hot fall we’re having in Michigan right now, too.
Another amazing thing about shopping at Evereve is that they have a kids’ area right near the fitting rooms. The fitting rooms are gigantic and spacious enough for me to fit everyone in with me, if needed. But the kids’ area has toys, comfy chairs for husbands, and snacks. Seriously, the perfect store for mamas of littles to shop in.
The whole store is beautiful and I had so much fun shopping there!
I could really tell that the items in store were curated with moms in mind. From cozy dresses that flatter you in all the right places, to destructed jeans that won’t fall apart as you crawl on your hands and knees to find that one missing LEGO, Evereve has you covered.
This may have been my first trip to shop at Evereve, but I know that I will be going back.
