This week I am going to focus on something that I am so incredibly thankful for. Our little family.
RJ. This past week we celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. It’s completely crazy that we have actually been married that long. And that we have been together even longer. Here is baby RJ and Jess at his prom:
Pretty cute right?
We we’re lucky to get a mostly kid-free day on Saturday for a date and a little shopping for a new suit for his upcoming ordination. It was so nice to just spend time together, and to actually get to sleep without having tiny humans calling us because they lost a paci or want to make sure that we know that they are in their bed if we need them.
I’m so blessed have this amazing, godly man as my husband. He is the best daddy to our tiny humans.
And he (almost) always knows when I’ve had an impossible day with them and tries to make it better. Like telling me to go to Target alone until the kids are in bed, or bringing home pizza since I didn’t have a second to cook dinner.
(And he’s nice to look at.)
My tiny humans. I’m thankful for these two babies who have brought so much joy into my life. They teach me how to appreciate the random little things, like the nicest fall weather or being able to spend a lazy day home as a family or getting excited over snacks, like spicy Doritos.
Elijah is the best big brother lately, I catch him with his hand on Emaline’s back while they watch YouTube. Or them playing sweetly with her baby dolls.
Emaline is constantly surprising me with how big she is and how much she understands.
Last week Elijah was asking me to go upstairs and get his apple juice cup and I told him no, he had to go get it himself if he wanted it. A few minutes later I heard Emaline clunking down the stairs with his cup. Without even being asked. She just wanted to go do that for her big brother.
I like being reminded to sit and think about specific things that I am thankful for. I love my little family. My silly, loud, messy, cuddly, you tube toy video watching family.
What are you thankful for this week? Tell me in the comments, I’d love to hear!
I’m participating in another link up this week with some other great bloggers, check out Aleigh’s post and find all the other bloggers’ posts at the bottom of her post! If you’re a fellow blogger, we’d love for you to join in.
