The giveaway has ended and the winner has been notified. Stick around, we have more fun giveaways to come.My major in college was English. I loved taking lit classes and writing papers and reading the classics for my degree. I was good at it. Even though I was encouraged to get a more useful degree, I loved it, and didn’t regret it until I graduated and no one was looking to hire a college grad with an English degree…
I hope to pass on my love of classic literature to my monkeys, and Emmy is already a tiny book worm. Bringing books to anyone who is in her vicinity to read to her. Sitting and flipping through a pile of books. It is adorable.
I am so excited to be hosting a giveaway today with BabyLit books! I am enamored with these books and Emaline is, too.
BabyLit so kindly sent us Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Good Night Mr. Darcy.
Oh, and this adorable Mr. Darcy doll. Emmy is in a full on baby doll stage, so she was happy to have another doll to add to her collection.
Pride and Prejudice is a counting primer.
Emaline is big into pointing at things, so we count the sisters or marriage proposals or English villages on each page. Eli, who is a counting pro, likes to count along even when he isn’t sitting with us reading.
Sense and Sensibility is an opposites primer.
Elijah really enjoys demonstrating the opposites: over and under, happy and sad, big and little. And Emaline enjoys the pretty illustrations. Many “oohs” and “whoas” come from her reading this one.
Good Night Mr. Darcy is a sweet parody, in the style of Good Night Moon, the classic children’s book.
Good Night Mr. Darcy isn’t a board book like the other BabyLit books we have, so Emaline can only read this one under supervision. She is not to be trusted around books that have easily tearable pages.
BabyLit books are a stylish and fun way to introduce your little one to the wonderful world of classic literature. We have several of these and I think they make the perfect gift.
