There are so many things I love about our new house. All the windows, the layout, the beautiful wood floors. But Eli is very clear and specific about what he thinks are the very best parts of our Toy Story house.
“My playground and the backyard and the water guns.” Eli wants to show every single person who comes over his playground. We thought it was just an okay play set, but I guess since we had nothing before, the old, okay play set is pretty great.
He likes to swing; his daddy lowered it to the perfect height for him. And he likes to superman swing too. And then Emmy tries to copy him.
He always wants to have a water gun fight. It makes him seem like such a big kid, and not a toddler. Daddy has the best water gun fights with him, but he tries to get Emaline to play. He doesn’t really get that just because he handed her a water gun, it doesn’t actually mean that she is going to have a water fight with him. So it usually just results in her getting upset and then an excuse of “but I gave Emmy her own water gun. She just didn’t want to shoot me.”
“All the pottys.” Eli can never decide which toilet he wants to use when he has to pee. It’s a huge decision he apparently has to make every single time he has to pee. And it’s not super inconvenient at all that he insists on using the “squishy potty” upstairs in the master bathroom when we are outside playing…
“My new Toy Story room in my new Toy Story house.” RJ and I were super excited to get his Toy Story room decorated. But so far we just have it painted and the clouds are up. Eli is still over the moon with it. Every single thing I show him for his room is a big deal.
He doesn’t mind at all that I haven’t done any more decorating.
She also likes to put the bubble wand in her mouth…
I think her favorite thing would be climbing into the kiddie pool whenever she is not wearing her bathing suit and get soaked. She happily plays in her “waa-waas” and doesn’t mind her sopping wet clothing.
Seriously, multiple times a day this happens.
Enjoy your weekend! I know we will. Ours is going to be super busy and super fun.
