It’s been a rainy few days here in Michigan, but I’m still so excited for spring. I can’t wait for the warmer weather and not having to wear jackets and gloves everywhere and being outside all day long with the tiny humans. In the past, spring was my least favorite season to dress for. It still feels like winter most days here in Michigan and summer still seems so far away. But, in my quest to dress with more style, I’m embracing all the seasons and the style that comes along with each one.
I am a huge fan of clothing that serves multiple purposes. And when something makes me feel good, I love it even more. I’m so over wearing clothes that I just find on clearance and buy and don’t really love. I’m starting to focus on wearing clothes that make me happy. My favorite thing about this dress is the versatility. I could wear this dress to church with booties, and then switch into my faux leather sneakers to run errands while the tiny humans nap.
Or throw on a cardi and meet my girlfriends for margaritas. Or add a pretty kimono for a more romantic, date night look. There are so many possibilities here.
I love the modesty of this dress, and that it makes me feel stylish while still being comfortable. It has some great details–buttons up the back, a cinched waist, and pockets! Any dress or skirt with pockets makes me so happy.
Dresses were always my go to for spring and summer before having kids, and I’m starting to get back to wearing them more. I just have to be more aware of the length, since I’m always chasing Emmy around or bending over to scoop her up or telling Eli to stop playing in my skirt…
The faux leather Cyber sneakers not only go nicely with the Grayson dress, but they also look great styled with destructed denim and a laid back tee. I wear slip on shoes so often, mostly because they’re easy. So having such a chic pair of sneakers is kind of perfect for this busy mama.
