We’ve been a little busy lately. In the midst of Christmas activities, my husband was ordained as a pastor in our church last weekend.
You can read RJ’s blog post about what it means to be ordained here.
It was a busy, and joyful weekend. My brother in law, Corey took photos some great photos.
If you look closely, you’ll see the raisins all over the floor. That was my sweet Emaline. We are blessed with an amazing children’s ministry at our church, so my kids rarely sit through a sermon. They love to be in their Sunday school classes.
This may be my favorite photo of Eli and RJ, ever. Elijah refused to sit down with me after Joe prayed over all of us, so he stood up there with his daddy for a little bit.
This picture of Joe and RJ hugging after the service makes me so happy. Joe and Autumn have been amazing friends and mentor to us over the years (Autumn was my 8th grade confirmation leader!) and I couldn’t imagine them not being in our lives.
The whole Grunewald group: Corey, Ariel, us, Mom with a sleeping Emmy, Dad, Molly, Amanda, Taylor, and Brad.
Emmy was so tired, she stayed asleep when I took her from RJ’s mom all the way home and into the crib.
We had a huge celebration at my parents after and it was such a great day. I couldn’t be prouder of my hard working husband.
Oh, and if you have any tips on how to get toddlers to sit through church and not throw raisins all over or ask to go home a million times, I’d love to hear them!
Special thanks to Corey Grunewald for taking these great photos!
