We have a little family tradition of going to Yates every September, when it’s still nice out, to kind of get us ready for fall.
We make them stand in front of the sign.
We like going on Mondays because it typically isn’t super busy. But the bees are always horrible.
Yates is by far our favorite place to get cider and donuts every fall. Since we’ve moved, we pass it often and Eli would always say “Remember on Sunday when we went there and got donuts?” (Everything in Elijah’s memory happened either Sunday or yesterday.) So it was definitely time to get our donuts.
Emmy ate the most donuts out of the four of us…no surprise there.
Then we walked to the trail and attempted to take our annual photo.
Emaline obeyed…Eli made a break for it.
Then she kept trying to escape. So Eli decided to hold onto her top to keep her in line.
Seriously, is it so much to ask to get one posed picture?
So I gave up, and then they were being little sweet hearts.
So, I guess we will need to go again, just to get a good photo on the path. Not at all for the tasty cider and warm donuts.
And here’s a picture of my babies last year, actually taking a solid posed photograph.
I’m going to go cry about how big they are now…
