What mama doesn’t need a little me time? Sometimes, I take two showers in one day to get a little me time. Or I will let the kids play in the backyard while I sit in the shade and check my instagram feed. Hiding in the bathroom is out, because my kids have zero concept of privacy. “You going potty mama?”
But, one of my favorite ways to get a little me time, when I’m still at home, is to have RJ take care of the bedtime routine. He will give the tiny humans their baths, they prefer daddy bath time anyway. He will do the whole bedtime routine with them: a couple toy unboxing videos or the obnoxious finger family videos that Emaline loves, Bible story, prayers, and then a few songs in their bedrooms.
I can relax and know that I’m not responsible for singing one more song or getting a cup of milk or find a very specific toy that needs to be in the bed with my children.
And while he is busy being the favorite parent, I’ll relax on the couch and pull out my new favorite snack: OREO Thins.
I have to hide my OREO Thins because we all love OREOs and if I leave them in the pantry, where the snacks are, they will be gone so quickly, I don’t even have a chance to enjoy them. They are a treat that mama does not have to share.
My favorite way to spend a little me time is to watch the Bachelorette. I know, I know, but reality TV, especially that of the Bachelor variety, is my guilty pleasure. (Can we talk about that cliff hanger last week?! Who do you think she is sending home? My money’s on Chad.)
My favorite thing about OREO Thins is how delicate and crisp they are. They are the perfect companion to my celebrity gossip magazine, glass of wine, and nail polish while JoJo breaks hearts.
If I can sneak a little break in during nap time, I like to snack on my OREO Thins while I get some blogging done. The mint OREO Thins are so yummy and thin, and taste great with my reheated coffee.
It’s the little things that make me happy. A little break from my kids that helps me to be a better mama.
I found the OREO Thins on a trip to our local Kroger with Emaline. They were in the cookie aisle, right above the regular OREOs. We love shopping at Kroger because it’s easy to get in and out and just grab the things we need. (My tiny humans also don’t hate those obnoxious race car carts) AND the double fuel point weekends are kind of awesome.

So mamas, ignore that mound of laundry that needs to be folded and head to Kroger to pick up something easy for dinner, and some OREO Thins that you can enjoy after the tiny humans are in bed for the night. You’re welcome.
