We still have about two months until we will actually be into our new house. So I am brainstorming what Eli’s new room is going to be; it will of course be a Disney theme. Pinning ideas for his new room makes me miss our old house and his first room, his nursery.
A couple months back, I shared Emaline’s Disney Princess Nursery. So I figured I would share some pictures of Eli’s first room too.
Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie. I had a serious Tinkerbell obsession when I was a teenager. Serious. So, I knew that my first baby’s nursery would have a Peter Pan theme. The room concept started with this amazing artwork we bought on our baby moon in Disney World.
It is the blue prints for “Peter Pan’s Flight” in Disneyland. We saw it, and we knew that we had to have it for our baby boy’s nursery. I am definitely hanging it up in our new house somewhere. (I painted that “E” with some acrylic paint.)
I didn’t change much when we transitioned it from a nursery into his “big boy” room. Basically I just bought him the Jake and the Neverland Pirates bedding and moved the chair into Emmy’s room and replaced it with this sweet Lego Duplo table I DIYed.
The wall decal, with one of the best lines from Peter Pan, was from Etsy, and was over Elijah’s crib. We left that as the spot for his toddler bed too, mostly because there were many hanging things in the open corners of his room and he is a little monkey so I didn’t trust that he wouldn’t jump or climb to knock stuff down.
I purchased a vintage Peter Pan children’s book on eBay and framed some of the pages. I got a little crafty with this “E” and decoupaged some of the scraps to it.
We bought this “moon” light from ikea and my husband had the genius idea to print Peter, Wendy, John, and Michael’s shadows to stick on there.
The sketch of Peter was also a Disney World baby moon purchase. I never finished this little gallery wall next to his window. Oh well.
My mom made the curtains with a fabric we found. I was sticking to the orange, teal, green color scheme and just worked in some other bright colors. The Mickey lights we put in his room for Christmas.
I last minute took these pictures before packing up the babies’ rooms before our move. So they aren’t the best quality. Forgive me.
Here is a list of where we bought the things that weren’t gifts or DIYs:
floating wall shelves: Target.
peter pan’s flight artwork: Art of Disney, Walt Disney World.
jake and the neverland pirates bedding: amazon.
toddler bed: borrowing from a friend.
neverland wall decal: Old Barn Rescue on etsy.

Do your kids have a fun nursery or bedroom? Tell me about it in the comments:)
Stay tuned for a post on Eli’s new, Disney Inspired room when we move.
