I love my tiny humans and their big personalities. Both Eli and Emmy have so many opinions, about so many different things. Lunchtime is no exception. I’m constantly getting my ideas shot down for what their tiny tastebuds desire. There are plenty of things that the tiny humans and I don’t agree on. Plenty.
A few things that we don’t exactly see eye to eye on:
When to eat a bedtime snack.
Emaline thinks that asking for a bedtime snack at 10:30 is perfectly fine. Even after she was asleep for an hour.
Wearing pants out of the house. Emmy gets around this by wearing dresses, but I’ll often find her trying to sneak outside in her underpants. But if Eli’s “cozy” pants or shorts aren’t clean in his drawer, he’ll just try to go without pants all together. Coloring on things that are not actually meant to be colored on. Emaline, my tiny artist thinks that coloring on walls and tables is just an extension of the paper. I, obviously, don’t agree with this. The meaning of “clean up your toys.” Apparently, tossing LEGOs and princesses in the general direction of their designated bins qualifies as cleaning them up to my children. What “you can watch one show before bed” means. One show, is one show. It doesn’t mean that Eli can watch a 23 minute show for 20 minutes before deciding that he doesn’t want to watch said show and tries to switch it. Both tiny humans pull this almost every day.
