Independence Day is right around the corner. And of course, I have been thinking about the outfits that the monkeys can wear. In case you need a little 4th of July outfit inspo, here are some ideas:
In case you can’t tell. Eli is completely Avengers-obsessed. Completely.
tee: Love + Art, from target. Because, can a three-year-old ever have enough Avengers tee shirts?
shorts: I bought these as “distressed denim” from a b/s/t Facebook group. They were super distressed and ripped like crazy, so I cut them into shorts, and Noni sewed in some sweet Avengers fabric to patch them. Now they are his favorite shorts.
flip flops: Target.
Land that I Love.
This is Eli’s hot-summer-day-so-he’s-going-to-wear-a-speedo-in-case-he-needs-to-run-through-some-sprinklers outfit.
Land that I Love tank: Loved by Hannah and Eli, no longer available. I love that it has the USA map on it. And that it is completely gender neutral so Emmy can wear it too.
shorts: Cherokee, Target. these were a crazy clearance, TWO YEARS AGO. And my skinny monkey finally can wear them.
American flag speedo: Wave Zone, thrifted. I don’t think RJ will ever forgive me for buying this at a mom 2 mom sale.
sunscreen: The Honest Co. (Stay tuned for a post about why I am obsessed with The Honest Co. )
Elijah helped picked the stuff in this flat lay…and then he ate the goldfish out of the RePlay Snack Stack.
henley: Genuine Kids by OshKosh. This line from Target is killing it lately. I want to buy every single thing for my monkeys.
shorts: babyGap, thrifted.
hat: H&M. I am still so glad we bought this hat last summer, and since it is a snapback, I think it will fit him forever.
lightning shoes: crocs, thrifted. They are Lightning McQueen. They light up. And I paid $11 for them. So we’re both pretty thrilled with Eli’s new shoes.
All American Girl.
Clearly, I can’t say no to a good Americana clothing item for the littles.
dress: Maggie & Zoe, gift from Grandma. I love that this dress is racerback and a hi-lo. Plus it works great as a cover-up because it’s so easy.
swim suit: OP, thrifted.
sandals: babyGap. I couldn’t resist these jellies, because they look like what I used to wear, AND they smell amazing.
sunnies: Target, dollar spot.
I am always cold when the sun goes down, so I wanted to be prepared if it gets chilly for the fireworks show at the annual BBQ we go to. And I needed the sweatshirt to be super patriotic, obviously. And the RePlay Snack Stack will have some patriotic treats in it, too.
sweatshirt: babyGap. Pretty sure this is a boys sweatshirt, but Emmy will make it totally adorable.
shorts: H&M. I’ve been hoarding these for a year. They finally, sort of, fit her.
sandals: Salt Water, thrifted.
give this girl a hot dog and she will look like she belongs at an Independence Day BBQ.
hat: Genuine Kids by OshKosh, Target.
top: Old Navy, hand me down. So perfect for the 4th.
shorts: babyGap, thrifted.
diaper: The Honest Co. Seriously, they have the cutest summer diaper prints right now. The cutest.
moccs: Cherry Freshly Picked, thrifted.
What are your kids wearing on the 4th? Are you going to dress your family super patriotic?
