Welcome to my little blog! I write about my family and how we do life and our adventures and our cute clothes and other stuff that we love. When I went to school, I got a degree in words, or more accurately, English and now I am using it more then ever with this blog. We love Jesus, love each other, and of course we love cute clothes and good deals. Here’s a little more about us, the Grunewalds:
RJ is my (sometimes) bearded husband. We met in our youth group, when we were in high school and he convinced me to be his girlfriend a couple years later. We’ve been married since 2007 and would go to Disney World every single year if we could. RJ is a huge geek and a Lutheran enthusiast. He is somehow good at basically everything, from tech stuff to math (it is very possible that he did most of my calculus homework) to preaching to getting baby girl back to sleep.
He blogs about Jesus a lot, is a youth pastor, and a pretty awesome husband. He is the chief nail trimmer, Lego builder, and, according to Elijah, the boss.
I’m Jessica, obviously. I am a professional mama. I love coca-cola, any TV show that involves cops and/or serial killers, and singing super obnoxiously. I can usually be found walking around Target and making fart noises to elicit giggles from my baby monkeys. I have always been a little bit obsessed with all things Disney, and am currently having Disney World withdrawals.
I dream about dressing more stylish, having time to actually read books again, and following through on all of the DIY projects I pin on pinterest.
This is Elijah Oscar.
Also known as Eli, monkey, stinker, and lately, Iron Eli. He likes his apple juice cold and his Legos spread across every room of the house. He is a fan of anything Avengers-related and knows how to turn on the charm to get what he wants. Getting him to eat foods that don’t contain the words pizza, fries, or nugget is a daily struggle and he is a giant goof ball.
Emaline Rose is the princess.
The princess who dives off couches and walks off stairs and eats twice as much as her big brother. She loves her baby dolls and reading books and emptying out her dresser as I put her clean laundry away. If she is not shadowing her big brother, she can usually be found sitting in the pantry, on the floor with all the food items that were in her reach.
Our life is crazy and joyful and chaotic and filled with giggles and exhausting. But we love our life and every adventure it takes us on and wouldn’t change a thing, except maybe have less meltdowns in the middle of the grocery store.
