I’m thankful for so many things in my life, I love participating in this link up with Aleigh from For the Joy of Life to share things that I am thankful for during this season.
I am thankful for the first snow.
And I’m thankful that my two precious babes made me excited about it. Seeing their faces in the morning was pure magic. They were so happy, Eli knew that it was supposed to snow and we had to go in the snow before breakfast.
They were so happy. Eating snow and throwing snow balls and making a snowman and then kicking it over.
And it snowed all day. I’m thankful for lazy weekends. When we don’t have solid plans and can just spend time as a family.
Normally, I would be kind of bummed that it was snowing. I despise driving in the snow and being cold, but these two babies of mine made me see it as this wondrous thing and really appreciate the first snow.
We played in the snow when it was first starting and then again after nap when it was over Emmy’s boots.
It was such a good day.
And I didn’t even complain about being too cold.
I’m thankful for super last minute Thanksgiving decorations. I had all these plans for DIYing some adorable Thanksgiving decor. I was going to make an “I’m Thankful for…” tree and create a cute banner. But then life happens and we’re less than a week out from Thanksgiving and I have nothing done.
Luckily we’re not having any company over, but I still wanted to make the house a tiny bit festive. So, if you’re a last minute Thanksgiving decorator like I am, use this adorable and quick banner from The TomKat Studio.
I love the way it looks, although it probably would look better on a wall that isn’t beige. It was super easy to put together. I used some braided twine and tiny clothespins I picked up at Jo-ann’s. It would look great attached with some cute washi tape, too.
Eli picked out this moose head, and I’m thankful that he actually asked to do a craft with me. He rarely wants to do crafty things like that with me. It was fun to put it together with him and good number recognition practice. I think we will keep this little guy up for awhile.
Did you play out in the snow at all? Are you doing any last minute thanksgiving decorating? Or have you already started on the Christmas decor? RJ got our lights up this past week when it was still fall and not snowing in Michigan.
